Automotive Sensor & ADAS Wiring Harness

IATF 16949 ISO 9001

Overview

Driver-assistance systems put different demands on a harness than body wiring: high-speed data integrity for camera and radar links, tight shielding, and connectors that stay sealed through years of underbody or windshield-mount vibration. This line is built specifically around ADAS sensor interconnects.

Design & Construction

High-Speed Data Conductors

Camera and radar links run on shielded twisted pair or mini-coax constructions sized for GMSL/FPD-Link-class data rates, kept separate from power circuits in the same harness to control crosstalk.

Sealed Sensor Connectors

Sensor-side connectors are sealed to IP67 and vibration-tested per SAE J1455, since camera and radar mounting points see more sustained vibration than typical cabin wiring.

Manufacturing Process

Built on the same IATF 16949-certified lines as our other automotive harnesses, with functional continuity and shield-integrity testing on every unit before release.

Typical Applications

  • Forward-facing camera harnesses
  • Radar sensor cabling
  • LiDAR interconnects
  • Parking and blind-spot sensor harnesses
  • ADAS domain controller wiring

Common installations include Forward-facing camera harnesses, Radar sensor cabling, and LiDAR interconnects, where vibration resistance and long-term durability under continuous thermal cycling are the primary design drivers. The same base design can also be adapted for Parking and blind-spot sensor harnesses and ADAS domain controller wiring with minor changes to connector type or cable length.

Technical Specifications

Standard configurations are available with the following technical specifications; custom configurations outside these ranges can be discussed with our engineering team. Wire Gauge: AWG 30 – 18 (signal), AWG 16 (power). Conductor Count: 2 – 64 circuits, coax/twisted-pair combinations. Cable Type: Shielded twisted pair / mini-coax for sensor data. Temp Range: -40°C to +125°C. Data Rate Support: Up to 6 Gbps (GMSL/FPD-Link compatible). IP Rating: IP67 (sensor-side connectors). Vibration Rating: SAE J1455 vibration-tested.

Quality & Certification

Manufactured under IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 certification with PPAP Level 3 documentation, and AEC-Q200 qualified components used where the design calls for them.

Customization & Lead Time

Standard lead time for the Automotive Sensor & ADAS Wiring Harness is 5–7 weeks prototype, 3–4 weeks production. Connector type, cable length, and conductor configuration can be customized to match your exact application, including alternative connector families, wire gauge, and shielding to match OEM or Tier 1 platform specifications. Contact our engineering team with your drawings or requirements for a project-specific quote.

Why XinHarness

ADAS harness work runs on the same qualified automotive lines that support our Tier-1 body and powertrain programs. See the Automotive industry page, or request a quote for your project. For related technical background, see our article on our introductory guide to automotive wiring harnesses.
