Overview
Satellite integration & test (I&T) facilities and ground support equipment run cabling under tighter documentation and cleanliness requirements than typical airframe work, with every wire lot and termination traceable back to source.

Design & Construction
Traceable Wire & Shielding
Wire is built to MIL-DTL-27500 practice with ETFE/PTFE insulation and double-braid shielding where the drawing calls for it, with lot codes retained for full material traceability.
Ground Support Interconnects
GSE cabling covers test-bench interconnects, telemetry cabling, and power distribution for integration and test operations, built to the same workmanship standard as our flight-hardware-adjacent harness work.
Manufacturing Process
Production runs under our AS9100D quality management system with AS9102 First Article Inspection on new part numbers and documented process controls at every operation.

Typical Applications
- Satellite integration & test bench cabling
- Ground support equipment interconnects
- Telemetry and test-data cabling
- Launch site power distribution cabling
- Test fixture and simulator wiring
Common installations include Satellite integration & test bench cabling, Ground support equipment interconnects, and Telemetry and test-data cabling, where flight-critical reliability and stringent weight optimization are the primary design drivers. The same base design can also be adapted for Launch site power distribution cabling and Test fixture and simulator wiring with minor changes to connector type or cable length.
Technical Specifications
Standard configurations are available with the following technical specifications; custom configurations outside these ranges can be discussed with our engineering team. Wire Gauge: AWG 26 – 10. Conductor Count: 2 – 120 circuits. Insulation: ETFE / PTFE, per MIL-DTL-27500 practice. Temp Range: -55°C to +200°C. Shielding: Double-braid EMI shielding. Workmanship: IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3. Traceability: Full material lot traceability per assembly.
Quality & Certification
Manufactured under AS9100D:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 certification, built to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 workmanship with full material lot traceability documented per assembly.
Customization & Lead Time
Standard lead time for the Satellite Integration & Ground Support Cable Assemblies is 8–10 weeks prototype, 4–6 weeks production. Connector type, cable length, and conductor configuration can be customized to match your exact application, including MIL-spec connector alternatives and shielding options for specific avionics or airframe integration requirements. Contact our engineering team with your drawings or requirements for a project-specific quote.
Why XinHarness
Ground support and I&T cabling runs under the same segregated aerospace process controls as our airframe and avionics harness work. See the Aerospace industry page, or request a quote for your project. For related technical background, see our article on the impact of extreme temperatures on wire harness performance.
