Overview
Marine wiring harnesses specify corrosion-resistant materials and DNV GL-approved constructions as a starting point, not an option, since a harness on a vessel or offshore platform is expected to run for decades without a wiring failure.

Design & Construction
Corrosion-Resistant Conductors
Conductors use tinned copper strands rather than bare copper, with marine-grade PVC or XLPE insulation resistant to UV exposure and salt-fog conditions per IEC 60092 marine cable practice.
Sealed Connector Interfaces
Connector cavities are dielectric grease-filled and sealed to IP68 for submersible or deck-exposed locations, with heat-shrink boots at cable entry points to prevent moisture wicking into the harness.
Manufacturing Process
Assemblies are built under our ISO 9001 quality system with DNV GL type-approved constructions available on request, and 100% continuity and insulation-resistance testing before shipment.

Typical Applications
- Shipboard power and lighting distribution
- Offshore platform instrumentation wiring
- Marine engine room cabling
- Deck equipment and winch control harnesses
- Bilge pump and sensor wiring
Quality & Certification
Manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 certification, tested to ASTM B117 salt-fog exposure, and built to IEC 60092 marine cable practice, with DNV GL-approved constructions available for classed vessels.
Why XinHarness
Our Marine Division supports shipbuilders, offshore platform operators, and marine electronics OEMs with harnesses specified for harsh, long-service marine environments. See the Marine industry page for full certification detail, or contact us from the homepage.
